WPLL Championships 2010 2009 2008 2007 2005 |
Cheney Parks & Rec Betz ParkCheney Parks and Rec presented its final draft of the master plan for the development of the 50 Acre Betz Park on October 21st. As you will see, a large portion of the park will be committed to the development of baseball fields. The City Council will be giving its final approval of the park in November. Park development will not be able to begin until funds are in place to pay for it. Our master plan will identify phased cost estimates that will allow us to begin working towards funding opportunities. Potential funding sources for this park may include partnerships, grants, or a community general obligation bond. The city has commented that it would like be begin development within the next two years. West Plains Little League benefits from this in that when a master plan is in place, we can pursue grants in cooperation with the city, or on our own for the development of the baseball field portion of the plan. What does the the final draft of the master plan for the 50 acre park site look like. Waste Management Complex Home Page
On June 27, 2006 West Plains Little League had a dream come true when Waste Management entered into a contract with WPLL to lease 25 acres of land to the league at $1 a year. This page is dedicated to updating our community on developing stories as the league looks to develop the 25 acre complex. Below is a drawing of what the complex will look like upon completion.
